Endesa Eco Installs the First Turbine at Canela Wind Park in Chile

Endesa authorities stated that the 70m structure is the tallest and highest-capacity wind turbine in Latin America. The turbine blades have a diameter of 82m and rotate at a maximum velocity of 15rpm. When completed, the $32 million wind project will add 18, MW of capacity to Chile’s central grid (SIC). Endesa announced the project start-up date for November 2007.
