SUGAR LAND--April 28, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Developers are proposing more than 3,500 megawatts (MW) of new generation in Idaho. If these projects come to fruition, the state's generation capacity could increase by about 109%, bringing its capacity up from about 3,300 MW to about 6,900 MW. New planned generation unit additions will use varied fuel sources, including nuclear, conventional and gasified coal, hydroelectric, waste heat, geothermal and wind technologies.
