SUGAR LAND--May 8, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Construction activity will continue to blossom in the Great Lakes region in the second half of summer. During the second quarter, the beginning of the prime construction period, $20 billion worth of project activity, be it capital or maintenance, is expected to begin construction within the region. During the third quarter, spending will decrease slightly with just over $13 billion in construction currently scheduled to begin during the quarter, however, this is almost exactly the same amount of construction activity that occurred during the same quarter a year ago.
