Sinopec Increases Imports and Production of Refined Products to Meet Rising Demands

BEIJING--June 18, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) (NYSE:SNP) (Beijing, China) will double its import of refined products in June and will reduce gas production to produce more diesel because of the rising demand. It is estimated that the company will increase its supply capacity by 700,000 tons after June. Sinopec expects to increase its supply of refined products by 18.5% in the first half of 2008.
