Dongfang Electric's First 300-Megawatt CFB Boiler Begins Operation

BEIJING--June 25, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) boiler in Phase II of the Heshuyuan Power Plant project is the first 300-megawatt (MW) inferior coal-fired CFB boiler without an external heat exchanger developed and manufactured by Dongfang Electric Corporation (HKG:1072) (Deyang, China), one of the top three power equipment manufacturers in China. The development of this boiler shows that Dongfang Electric Corporation has achieved new breakthroughs in the manufacture of large-scale boilers for clean coal combustion.
