SUGAR LAND--June 25, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Imperial Irrigation District, which provides water for agricultural use in southern California's Imperial Valley, has completed construction and start-up testing of its $113 million, 90-megawatt (MW) Niland Power Station in Niland, California. The project consists of a simple-cycle peaking plant with turbine generators provided by GE Energy, a division of General Electric (NYSE:GE) (Fairfield, Connecticut).
