Utah Sets Sights on 61.4% Increase in Power Generation by 2016

SUGAR LAND--June 25, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Utah has 7,820 megawatts (MW) of operational power generation, and developers are studying the possibility of adding 4,805 MW more at a cost of more than $7 billion. These additions would bring operational power generation to a total of 12,625 MW by 2016. The proposed generation would utilize conventional thermal and renewable energy sources.
