Nevada Power Completes Construction of $300 Million Power Project

SUGAR LAND--July 16, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Nevada Power Company (Las Vegas, Nevada), a subsidiary of Sierra Pacific Resources (NYSE:SRP) (Reno, Nevada), has completed construction and commenced commercial operation of the $300 million 600-megawatt (MW) expansion project at the Clark Power Station located in Las Vegas. Construction of the project began in June 2007 and was completed earlier this year. CH2M Hill (Englewood, Colorado) provided the turnkey engineering, procurement and construction services for the project.
