Opti Canada and Nexen Incorporated Select Fluor Canada for Phase II Upgrader Expansion

SUGAR LAND, Texas--August 8, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--A joint venture partnership between Opti Canada Incorporated (TSX:OPC) (Calgary, Alberta) and Nexen Incorporated (NYSE:NXY) (Calgary) has selected Fluor Canada, a subsidiary of Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR) (Irving, Texas), to perform front-end engineering design for a 70,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) expansion that will increase the upgrader capacity to 140,000 BBL/d.
