Acrylonitrile Producers Prepare for Year of Turnarounds and Increased Capacity in 2009

SUGAR LAND--September 9, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--INEOS Americas LLC and its Nitriles business group expect to begin operation of a fourth acrylonitrile reactor at its Green Lake chemical plant in Port Lavaca, Texas, early next year. This new reactor will add to the plant's nearly 1 billion pounds of existing acrylonitrile capacity currently in operation at the site. Engineering and procurement has been completed by SNC-Lavalin GDS Incorporated (Houston, Texas), a subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin Group Incorporated (TSX:SNC).
