SUGAR LAND--September 18, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Of the 29 natural gas treating facilities that took the brunt of the force when Hurricane Ike came ashore, an estimated 14 plants remain operational. However, phone service in the Gulf Coast region is still spotty, and of the 29 plants, 11 could not be contacted. Some of the unconfirmed plants could be out of service in order to assess damage, and others could be out of phone service. Enterprise Products Partners L.P.'s (NYSE:EPD) (Houston, Texas) Matagorda natural gas processing plant suffered minor damage, and Targa Resources Partners LP's (NASDAQ:NGLS) (Houston) Mont Belvieu fractionation plant lost power. Anadarko Petroleum's (NYSE:APC) (The Woodlands, Texas) Woodville gas processing plant reported no major damage but was also lost power. Electricity service to the plant is expected to be restored in two or three days.
