SUGAR LAND--August 13, 2009--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Yara Belle Plaine Incorporated (Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan), a subsidiary of Yara International ASA (OTC:YARIY) (Oslo, Norway), is nearing the completion of a major expansion of the company's nitrogen fertilizer plant located in Belle Plaine. Upon final startup, the expansion will increase the plant's capacity by 200 tons per day of urea and 400 tons per day of ammonia, making Yara among the largest fertilizer producers in Canada.
