Vale on Track to Complete Phosphate Rock Mine Project in Peru

CORDOBA, ARGENTINA--September 25, 2009--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Brazilian miner Vale SA (NYSE:VALE) (Rio de Janeiro), through Peruvian subsidiary Vale Exploration Peru SAC (Lima), is on track to complete Phase I of the Bayovar phosphate mine project in July 2010. In the first phase, the project includes the construction of a phosphate-concentrator plant with a nominal production capacity of 3.9 million tons per year.
