SUGAR LAND--December 9, 2009--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Longview Power LLC, a subsidiary of GenPower LLC (Newton Center, Massachusetts), is about 83% complete with the construction of the coal-fired Longview Power Plant near Maidsville, West Virginia, in Monongalia County, according to Charles Huguenard, Longview Power's vice president and general manager. The mine-mouth power plant will have a nameplate capacity of 769 megawatts (MW) with a net capacity of approximately 695 MW. A supercritical pulverized-coal-fired Foster Wheeler (NASDAQ:FWLT) (Clinton, New Jersey) boiler is being installed, which will drive a Siemens (NYSE:SI) steam turbine/generator set.
