SUGAR LAND--January 6, 2010--Reported by Annette Kreuger, Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In a definite case of "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times...," the Pharmaceutical-Biotech Industry began construction on $13.5 billion in capital and maintenance projects throughout 2009. While it is doubtful many shed a tear after last year hit the rear-view mirror, the industry did manage to spur 450 projects into actual construction. The numbers may even go higher in the months to come, as new projects are uncovered that began construction in 2009 and still have opportunities remaining.
