International Paper, Weyerhaeuser Announce Improvements in Fourth Quarter after Difficult Year

SUGAR LAND--February 8, 2010--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Paper and packaging firm International Paper Company (NYSE:IP) (Memphis, Tennessee) and forest products firm Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE:WY) (Federal Way, Washington) both reported earnings gains for the fourth quarter and full year of 2009, when compared to 2008. However, both companies saw an overall decline in net sales.
