SUGAR LAND--June 10, 2010--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--On June 6, the Fermi Nuclear Station, which is in Newport, Michigan, and is owned by Detroit Edison Company (NYSE:DTE) (Detroit, Michigan), went offline due to a problem with the 1,122-megawatt (MW) Unit 2. The plant confirmed that it experienced a problem with an off-site power loss that was caused by tornados that ripped through the area.
