India and France Sign Agreement for Two Nuclear Reactors

NEW DELHI, INDIA--December 8, 2010--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--India and France have signed a multibillion-dollar agreement consisting of five nuclear-related pacts and ushering in a new phase in civil nuclear cooperation.

The five pacts signed between the countries include an early works agreement and a general framework agreement between French nuclear giant Areva SA (EPA:CEI) (Paris, France) and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) (Mumbai) to build two third-generation advanced European Pressurized Reactors in Jaitapur, Maharashtra.
