Researched by Industrial Info Resources India (Delhi, India)--Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) (Karachi, Pakistan), Pakistan's oil & gas exploration and production (E&P) major, has kicked off the construction of its $45 million gas-processing plant at Jhal Magsi gas field in Pakistan. The gas processing and fractionation plant is being developed as a part of Jhal Magsi Gas Field Development Project and is due to commence operations by March 2013.
The 15 million-standard-cubic-feet-per-day (MMSCFD) plant will process, dehydrate and compress natural gas and will remove hydrogen sulfide from the gas extracted from the Jhag Magsi natural gas field.
OGDC has awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract to Enar Petrotech Services Private Limited (Karachi, Pakistan) for the construction of the natural gas processing and the associated facilities at Jhal Magsi. The Jhal Magsi field is located about 5 kilometers northeast of Jhal Magsi town, in the Dera Murad Jamali district in the Baluchistan province of Pakistan.
