Venezuela Signs Agreement to Increase Oil Exports to China
On May 8, 2006, Venezuela and China reached an agreement to build 18 oil tankers in order to increase its petroleum exports to China. This decision will help Venezuelas PDVSA to significantly increase its exports to Asian markets, while at the same time it may affect the USA's petroleum imports during a time of intense petroleum politics
