Job Responsibilities:

Industrial Info Resources is accepting applications for an intern position. This is a part-time, paid internship during which interns will acquire knowledge relating to general business best practices; market research; as well as products, processes, and client goals specific to our industry. 

We are looking for dynamic, energetic intern(s) who are eager to learn about our company by assisting in various departments. You will be working closely with our team to conduct research, capture data, and attend meetings.

Essential Functions:

  • Undertakes and/or participates in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization.
  • Receives guidance, training, and mentoring from professional personnel in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
  • Conducts original research and prepares reports based on findings, to include recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
  • Takes notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files.
  • Assists with databases and input information, data, and records.
  • Verifies the accuracy and validity of data in database, correct any errors.
  • Collects data from industrial plants.
  • Collaborates with other researchers to complete departmental objectives.
  • Completes clerical work required for task completion.
  • Attends company functions and networking events.
  • Other administrative duties assigned.

Job Qualifications:
  • Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
  • Creative - Ability to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
  • Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.
  • Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Education: High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision
