Analytics Intern

Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a summer analytics intern. If you are a motivated self-starter IIR is a great company for you. 

In this role, you will assist the analytics team by collecting, organizing, and synthesizing data. Assist in model developments and perform exploratory data analysis. For this position, the candidate must have aptitude in the programming languages such as Python as well as have advanced excel skills.

 

Job Qualifications:

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in process improvement initiatives within the Data & Analytics group
  • Assist with building data pipelines to perform ETL on internal/external data along with deploying API integrations
  • Creating documentation outlining design and technical specifications of each solution
  • Handle data preparation and exploratory data analysis portions of a project
  • Assist in model development efforts using multivariate statistical techniques

Qualifications:

  • Experience using R/Python to read/write/transform data (Required)
  • Knowledge of basic statistical methods (mean/std. deviation/regression/etc.)  (Required)
  • Knowledge of SQL and data modeling (Required)
  • Knowledge of Linux (Required)
  • Advanced Excel experience/knowledge (Not required, but a plus)
  • Experience with building ML models (GLM/Decision Trees/KNN/SVM/etc.)  (Not required, but a plus)
  • Experience with Flask/FastAPI/Plumber/etc. to build and deploy API’s (Not required, but a plus)
  • Pursing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (Degrees in Math/Statistics/Comp Science/Engineering a plus)
