IT Intern

Job Responsibilities:

Industrial Info Resources is accepting applications for an IT intern position. This is a part-time, paid internship during which interns will acquire knowledge relating to best information technology practices including technical support, system administration, and project management.

We are looking for dynamic, energetic IT Intern who is eager to learn about our company through assisting the Information Technology department. The IT Intern will support our IT department by providing technical assistance, configuring hardware and software, and updating and maintaining computer systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance.
  • Research and recommend solutions for technical problems.
  • Work with analysts on software design lifecycle.
  • Assist developers with software integration tasks.
  • Collaborate with the IT team and related IT projects.
  • Other administrative duties assigned. 

Job Qualifications:
  • Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
  • Creative - Ability to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
  • Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
  • Resource Management (People & Equipment) - Ability to obtain and appropriate the proper usage of equipment, facilities, materials, as well as personnel.
  • Technical Aptitude - Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Education: High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software.
  • Knowledge of network and system security.
  • Familiarity with hardware and software installation.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
