Staff Accountant

Job Responsibilities:

Compute, classify, post, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Stay abreast of international accounting standards and principles. The Staff Accountant will also facilitate payment of invoices and reconcile accounts.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform mid-level general ledger account reconciliations, meticulously verify data accuracy and rectify errors made by other internal and external parties.
  • Provide support for monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes.
  • Maintain and update records and reports pertaining to profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets to ensure accurate financial documentation.
  • Review financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting regulations across jurisdictions where operations are conducted.
  • Facilitate transactions with foreign entities.
  • Stay abreast of accounting principles and standards in locations we operate in to ensure alignment with international best practice.
  • Execute outgoing payments in line with company guidelines
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledger and ensure tracking of accurate postings.
  • Facilitate timely payment of invoices.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports for upper management.
