But there is an added level of poignancy when they are announced during the holiday season. Israeli generic drugmaker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (NYSE:TEVA) (Tel Aviv) has announced it plans to cut 25% of its global workforce, or an estimated 14,000 jobs.
