EIA: Renewables Take Up Lesser Share of Utility-Scale Project Completions in 2017

SUGAR LAND--January 11, 2018--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects nearly half of the 25 gigawatts of new utility-scale electric generating capacity to have been added to the U.S. in 2017 will use renewable technologies, especially wind and solar. In comparison, more than 62% of the 27 gigawatts of utility-scale electric generating capacity that was added in 2016 came from renewables.
