SUGAR LAND--December 12, 2018--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Invista's (Wichita, Kansas) is planning a retrofit and technology upgrade of an adiponitrile (ADN) plant in Texas starting in first-quarter 2019. ADN is used in the production of hexamethylene diamine, which in turn is used to make nylon 6, 6 fibers and plastics. The project is intended to increase production, reduce energy consumption and decrease capital intensity at the plant.
