U.S. Auto Tariffs Would Hit Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Attachment: Auto
Germany, Slovakia and Hungary would be hardest hit if the U.S. imposes a 25% import tariff on autos from Europe. Volkswagen, Daimler and Audi would be impacted, as well as FCA in Italy and Valmet in Finland. A decrease in auto production as a result of the tariff also would impact the companies that supply automotive components for the assembly plants. These include facilities in Poland, Hungary, Austria and Czech Republic.
