Gulf of Mexico oil operators ramped up evacuations in front of Tropical Storm Barry, which could strengthen into the first hurricane of the 2019 season. Barry's path has already forced the evacuation of more than 200 production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico in the last 24 hours, and will soon impact onshore infrastructure.
