After facing its worst slowdown of the last two decades in 2019, India's automotive sector is keeping its hopes high for relief from Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's Union Budget, to be presented on February 1. The sector is seeking lower custom duties, a reduction in the goods and services tax and some regulatory concessions.
