Tellurian's memorandum of understanding (MOU) with India's Petronet, which could have helped to fund Tellurian's Driftwood liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction and export terminal, has expired, according to published accounts.

Under the MOU, Driftwood would supply five million metric tons per year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Petronet, and in return would receive a $2.5 billion investment for the Lake Charles, Louisiana project.

Tellurian signed the MOU with Petronet in the fall of 2019, but the MOU expired in May. Tellurian says talks are still ongoing with Petronet, according to news accounts.
