EIA: Most New U.S. Power Capacity in 2019 to Come from Renewables, Natural Gas

SUGAR LAND--January 11, 2019--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects 23.7 gigawatts (GW) of new capacity additions and 8.3 GW of capacity retirements in the U.S. in 2019. Most of the capacity additions come from natural gas, wind and solar, while coal-fired plants and nuclear facilities will see the most retirements.
