Western Europe Hosts $727 Million in Glass Industry Capital Projects, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Europe's glass industry is making changes to meet the commercial needs of its customers.
Glass packaging manufacturer Owens-Illinois recently announced plans to install a new furnace at its Holzminden plant in Germany. The furnace will include the company's Magma technology, which is used in the production of ultra-flexible glass.
Major glass players in Western Europe have invested not only in new recycled glass packaging and waste heat recovery technology, but also on modernization of the existing glass furnaces.
