French Pension Strike Cuts Power Output by 4.8 GW, an Industrial Info Market Brief
A nationwide strike since December 5 in protest over planned pension reforms has affected France's power generation by about 4.8 gigawatts (GW).
According to data from grid operator RTE and state utility company EDF, power generation was curtailed at five nuclear reactors and three coal-fired power plants when power sector workers joined the strike.
