Freeport LNG Train 3 Begins Commercial Operations, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Freeport LNG's Train 3 in Quintana, Texas, has achieved commercial operations. The train has a production capacity of 5 million metric tons per year of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The overall production capacity at the site is now 15 million metric tons per year. Toshiba Corporation and SK E&S have contracted to buy all of the LNG from Train 3. Construction was delayed in 2018 during Hurricane Harvey, when floods overtook a yard where equipment was being stored. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report.
