After a couple of months of a complete halt on construction following the declaration of a strict quarantine in late March, construction activities began to resume in June on wind and solar projects in Argentina. In July, the five large-scale wind and solar projects, totaling 540 megawatts (MW), started commercial operations. Of the 423 MW in new-build wind capacity, 322.5 MW were installed in the central province of Buenos Aires and 100.5 MW in the southern province of Neuquen.
The new-build solar capacity consists of a single 117-MW photovoltaic plant in the western province of San Juan.
