Mighty River Power Confirms Major Refurbishment for Atiamuri Hydro Plant in New Zealand
PERTH, AUSTRALIA--April 9, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources Australia (Perth, Australia)--The Atiamuri Hydro Plant will undergo a major refurbishment starting first quarter of 2015. The power plant, which features four 21-megawatt (MW) turbines, was built by Mighty River Power Limited (Auckland, New Zealand) during 1953 and 1958 at Lake Atiamuri in Waikato district of New Zealand. Each unit is equipped with Francis turbines manufactured by English Electric, and ABB Generator.
