Pacific Gas and Electric Awards Battery Storage Contracts for 165 MW
SUGAR LAND--December 27, 2017--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Pacific Gas and Electric Company (NYSE:PSG) (PG&E) (San Francisco, California) recently awarded capacity contracts to six battery energy storage developers to provide a total of 165 megawatts (MW) in its drive to procure 580 MW of energy storage capacity by 2020. The battery storage projects are being developed by Enel Green Power North America, Incorporated (Andover, Massachusetts), LS Power (New York, New York), EDF Renewable Energy (San Diego, California) and Tesla Incorporated (NASDAQ:TSLA) (Palo Alto, California) and are scheduled to be completed between November 2020 and December 2023.
