Interior Seeks to Open OCS For Drilling, Except Off Florida's Coasts
SUGAR LAND--January 15, 2018--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Trump administration's plan to achieve "energy dominance" took another step forward January 4 when the Department of the Interior (DOI) (Washington, D.C.) released a draft proposed program to open virtually all of the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) for Oil & Gas development during 2019-2024. The move is a reversal of the Obama administration's decision to remove virtually all that offshore acreage from drilling.
