Ethane Takes Bigger Share of U.S. Natural Gas Liquids Production

SUGAR LAND--June 20, 2018--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Demand for ethane has played a big role in the growth of natural gas plant liquids (NGPLs), according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). According to the EIA's Tuesday Today in Energy article, annual average U.S. NGPLs production increased nearly 400,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) between 2015 and 2017, and about 175,000 BBL/d of this increase resulted from growth in ethane production.
