Kia Motors to Invest $2 Billion in India by 2021, an Industrial Info Market Brief

South Korean automobile manufacturer Kia Motor Corporation plans to roll out the first vehicle from its $2 billion automotive assembly project in southern India by the end of next year. Once the $1.1 billion first phase of the project is completed, the assembly shop will employ more than 10,000 people and produce 300,000 cars annually. A second, $900,000 phase is expected to be completed by 2021. Industrial Info is currently tracking 661 capital projects in India with a potential investment value of nearly $27 billion.
