Qatar Petroleum Awards Halul Island Tank-Maintenance Contract, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Qatar Petroleum has awarded a $50 million tank-maintenance contract at its Halul Island terminal to Galfar Almisnad Engineering & Contracting W.L.L for a period of 67 months. Located about 50 miles northeast of Doha, Halal is the base for 11 large crude oil storage tanks and pumping facilities, as well as power generation and water-desalination plants. Project scope will include training, materials, services, supervision, testing and equipment to conduct a major overhaul of the crude oil storage tanks at Halul Island.
