Mercedes-Benz Seeks to Expand South Africa Production Unit, an Industrial Info Market Brief

German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is planning to invest $750 million to add new production lines to its unit in East London, South Africa, for its next generation of C-Class passenger cars and GLC SUVs. The East London facility, located in Eastern Cape in South Africa, has been operational since 1965, and the new, expanded facility will be operational by the end of 2020.
