EIA Projects U.S. Oil Production to Reach 12.06 Million BBL/d Next Year, an Industrial Info Market Brief

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) projects U.S. oil production to reach 12.06 million barrels per day (BBL/d) next year. Even with the Permian Basin pipeline takeaway at near capacity, shale play production growth is expected to continue to rise with help from additional takeaway capacity coming into service in 2019 and additional production growth in the Bakken, Eagle Ford, Niobrara, Anadarko and Appalachia shale plays. Altogether, Industrial Info is tracking $9.94 billion in pipeline projects under construction that are expected to come into service in 2019. In total, more than $45 billion in crude pipeline project development is in active development.
