China's Bottled Water Industry is Booming, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Sales of bottled water in China reached 105 billion Yuan in 2017, and are expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 9.5% in the next five years, making it one of the fastest growing beverage categories, according to market research company Euromonitor. Meanwhile, China's largest dairy conglomerate, Yili Group, announced in December that it will invest 740 million Yuan in northeastern China's Changbaishan area to build its first-ever mineral water plant.
