Russian Hydro Power to Replace Aging Equipment, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Industrial Info is tracking 245 hydropower projects worth $4.6 billion in Russia. Among them are plans by one of Russia's largest power generating companies, RusHydro, to replace much of its old power equipment in a few years. The company plans to replace as much as 55% of its old turbines, which were manufactured mainly in 1950s and 1960s, as well as 44% of its generator equipment.
