Strong Earthquake Rattles Papua New Guinea, an Industrial Info Market Brief

A 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck Papua New Guinea on Tuesday morning. The earthquake rattled eastern New Guinea, about 66 kilometers south of the town of Lae. The town's fire department said there were no immediate reports of damage. Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited's Hidden Valley gold mine and PNG Taiheiyo Cement Limited's clinker processing plant were located on the outer boundary of the earthquake's radius.
