Energy giant Shell predicts global liquefied natural gas (LNG) demand will be 384 million tons by 2020. The increase of 27 million tons of LNG demand is due to switching to greener fossil fuels and rising demand for energy by Asian countries. New long-term LNG contracts are spurring investment in LNG liquefaction and regasification facilities.
