German State Utility EnBW Acquires French Renewable Energy Developer VALECO, an Industrial Info Market Brief
French renewable energy developer VALECO has been acquired by German utility EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. The acquisition is expected to bring EnBW close to its goal of installing 1 gigawatts (GW) of onshore wind capacity by 2020. VALECO is one of the top renewable energy shareholders in the French market, with an installed capacity of 276 megawatts of onshore wind power, 56 megawatts of solar power, as well as a project pipeline of 1.7 gigawatts.
