Indonesia's Aceh Province Targets 33.9% Renewables in Energy Mix, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Aceh, a province of Indonesia located at the northern end of Sumatra, has the region's largest renewable energy potential. Renewable sources would make up 33.9% of Aceh's energy mix by 2025 under the province's General Regional Energy Plan. This is 10.9 percentage points greater than the national target. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources believes Aceh's target is achievable due to its wealth of renewable energy resources. Industrial Info is tracking about 60 renewable energy projects worth more than $12 billion in Aceh.
